Our Public Sector Programs offer no-cost energy efficiency support to all public agencies that are served by Southern California Edison or Southern California Gas Company in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties including cities, school districts, water districts, special districts, and tribes. Recognizing that each public agency faces unique barriers to implementing energy projects, I-REN provides customized support including:

  • Providing local governments with support and resources to develop and implement their strategic energy plans and energy efficiency projects
  • Helping local governments to afford and finance a range of energy efficiency upgrades  
  • Establishing one-on-one support for local governments’ energy efficiency  projects
  • Developing or enhancing strategic energy plans to connect local government goals related to climate, resilience, and economic development to energy efficiency programs and adoption

  • Energy Usage Review - We review your utility data and share insights on your energy savings potential, including an energy benchmarking tool created exclusively for I-REN agencies called the Building Upgrade Concierge (BUC).
